Design District Magazine – Summer 2012 – The Outdoor Issue

For “Design District Magazine” I designed the entire Summer 2012 Outdoor Issue, which was distributed in furnishing – and fashion stores in the Design District of Miami. At the same time, a show called “Magic City” started on TV, which was about the luxury hotel industry in Miami in the ’60s. Inspired by the look & feel of the show, I art directed a fashion story on location with clothes and furniture from stores at the Design District. It was a big challenge to create and retouch the opening spread with the model diving under water above the “Magic City.” Thanks to my great Typography knowledge, I easily grasped which fonts were used in the show in the opening titles and applied it to our story.
